New York, February 14th 2019 - Ermenegildo Zegna unveils its latest Global Store in New York City, located at 4

West 57th Street, in the historic Crown Building, one of the most recognizable landmarks in Manhattan.

The newest Global Store was designed by world-renowned architect and longtime collaborator Peter Marino,

who chose to celebrate Zegna’s American legacy by envisioning a bold new chapter for the luxury menswear

leader. The boutique features 660 square meters of luxury retail space and an entirely new façade composed of

metallic strings echoing the yarns of Zegna’s craftsmanship which overlay two stories of glass. At night, LED lights

illuminate the abstracted fabric threads, extending the brand’s presence from the inside out. The boutique is

divided across three floors with the New York Global Store showcasing a brand-new design concept inspired by a

modern mix of defining elements.

The store has been planned to create a virtual journey through the world of Ermenegildo Zegna including an

innovative ephemeral installation, which changes during the year; a first for Ermenegildo Zegna, it creates an

emotional fil rouge that follows the customer from the external display windows into the heart of the Zegna

World. The ground floor also hosts a wide selection of fine leather goods and a dedicated shoe area, both of

which are complimented by the natural tones of cerused ashwood, bleached mahogany and vals stone flooring

with serpentine inserts. On the mezzanine level, light colors prevail and walls are lined in warm white wallpaper

and dimensional plaster. Here, a unique “wooden box” structure envelops the space from this level down to the

ground floor to emphasize the aesthetic continuity among the two floors. Dedicated to the Couture collection

ranging from the XXX project to the fashion selection as well as the couture sneakers selection, the mezzanine

area and its furnishings, including the Dezza 24 leather armchairs designed by Gio Ponti for Poltrona Frau (1965),

bask in the warm light of the external windows.

On the third floor customers experience a luxurious open space showcasing Sartoria, Luxury Leisurewear,

Couture and a personalization room with its Master Tailor. With its matte teak, lacquered wood and mix of

modernist and vintage elements, the personalization room has been furnished with a vintage Italian bar,

historical photos, a geometric pattern carpet and Gardella lounge chairs to create a very intimate and private

space. The personalization room features an exclusive offer of bespoke clothing delivering the highest

expression of luxury. In keeping with the brand’s heritage and consistent support of the arts, the third floor is

home to Zegna Liquid Touch (2012), by Emil Lukas, as well as a black and white photography composite by

Giovanni Caccamo.

Exclusively available in the New York Global Store, is the new Taccuino capsule. A luxury leisurewear collection

inspired by the very notebook Ermenegildo Zegna carried with him on his founding trip to New York in 1938, a

new generation of American men can now discover his sense of modern luxury and world-leading fabrics. The

motif of his calligraphy is finely reflected as the core pattern for this capsule.

Open from February 13th, the new Ermenegildo Zegna location presents an unrivaled opportunity for the

American audience to uncover a singular destination for inimitable Italian style. Discover its unique collections,

and the singular modernist architecture, in-store now, and enter the newest chapter for the world leader in

luxury menswear.
